About Sam's Saloon

Kennewick's neighborhood sports bar, cold beer, every game, and a welcoming crowd since day one.

Our Story

Built by the Grays

Sam's Saloon is here because of Shirley and Danny Gray. The Grays spent years turning Sam's into what it is, a real neighborhood bar, where regulars get known by name, the staff stay for the long haul, and nobody's pretending to be something they're not.

That reputation wasn't marketed into existence. It was earned, one shift at a time. Danny has since passed, but everything he and Shirley built here is still standing.

Still in Family Hands

In May 2022, Sam's changed hands and stayed in family ones. The saloon is now owned by the Simmons family, Kyle, his sister Stef, and their father Steve, three people who bought this bar with no intention of reinventing it.

Kyle has spent his career in hospitality here in the Tri-Cities. Stef is a mortgage broker. Steve is retired, and is around more than that word suggests.

Run Day to Day by Stefenie Vigil

Day to day, Sam's runs on Stefenie Vigil. Our general manager has more than twenty years behind the bar, over a decade of it right here, since long before we owned the place, which means she knows this room, this crew, and most of the people walking through the door better than anyone.

If Sam's still feels like Sam's, that's her.
